A Queen's Confession

Hey Beautiful — I’m TyLeste Williams. I’m a wife, a mama, a mentor, and a woman who’s been through enough storms to know that peace is worth protecting at all costs. My life has been a testimony of survival, surrender, and starting over, time and time again.

I was born into a family that was supposed to keep me safe, but instead, I experienced betrayal so deep it nearly took me under. My own mother and sister plotted to steal my daughter away from me, and my mother even threatened my life. That kind of heartbreak cuts to the bone. I had to make the hardest choice of my life — to walk away from every relative, every friend tied to them, and build my own path to protect my peace. It was painful, but it was holy. That was the day I chose to redefine what family meant, Chic, and I haven’t looked back since.

My spiritual life was no easier. The church that was supposed to love me turned on me with legalism and judgment. I was told what to wear, how to do my hair, who I could befriend, and was made to believe I’d burn in hell if I didn’t follow their narrow rules. They stripped me of my freedom and shamed me for showing up as the woman God actually created me to be. I left the building, but I didn’t leave God. Now, I live fully connected to His voice, not controlled by other people’s traditions.

My dating life was another minefield. I married a man who hid a mental illness from me — one that made him paranoid and violent. I saw the red flags, but I ignored them, hoping love could fix what only God could heal. That relationship nearly cost me everything. Yet God rescued me, pulled me out, and gave me the courage to believe in love again. Today, I am remarried to a godly man who honors me, adores me, and cherishes our daughter like his own. I went from broken-hearted to beautifully restored, Love, and that’s a miracle I’ll never stop praising God for.

I started my brand, TyLeste, to be the safe haven I never had. A place where women can clarify their worth, connect with God’s voice, and control their boundaries — because nobody should have to shrink, silence, or sacrifice themselves to survive. My mission is to help women like you stand tall in your truth, protect your peace, and flourish in a love that honors every inch of who you are.

Sis, I know what it’s like to be overlooked, underestimated, and unheard. I know what it’s like to cry yourself to sleep, to feel chained by family expectations, church trauma, or a toxic relationship that sucks the life out of you. I’ve been there. I’ve lived it. And by God’s grace, I’ve overcome it.
